Description

The building at 9 and 11 High Street dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with dressings in brown brick and features a red and brown patterned tiled roof. The building has two slightly projecting gables, each with a lancet window in the gable end. It is two stories high, with an irregular front that includes gables flanking a broad, central, canted bay window. There are eight lattice casement windows, with painted lintels; the ground floor windows have pointed arches. Two doorways are surmounted by four-centred arches. To the right of centre is a carriageway under a similar arch. Numbers 9 and 11 form a group with number 3A and the other odd numbers on the street.
