Description
No. 3 High Street is a late 17th-century house that was refaced in the 18th century or early 19th century with stucco. It features a timber frame and brick construction, topped by a steeply pitched hipped tiled roof that includes five dormers—four hipped and one gabled in the center. The building has two storeys with end attics and displays a deep wooden cornice supported by pairs of mullions at the front, while the north side elevation has a plain cornice. There are four pilasters and a band below the upper windows. The house has four sash windows with glazing bars set in surrounds, along with two canted bay windows on the ground floor, which also have glazing bars. The entrance includes two doors, one of which has six panels with the top four being fielded, and is topped by a cornice hood on cut brackets. No. 3A and Nos. 3 to 11 (odd) form a group.
