Description

Pollard’s Farmhouse is a 16th-century or earlier farmhouse, now a house, located in Kinsbourne Green. It comprises a gabled cross wing on the right and a left cross wing, both likely of 16th-century origins, with a three-bay central section. The structure is characterized by an exposed timber frame with painted brick infill, while the wings are roughcast. The roof is covered with plain tiles. Above the central entrance doorway is a small two-light casement within an early window frame. A 19th-century triple-hung sash window is positioned to the right of the door, and a 19th-century iron casement to the left. The left wing features a triple sash window on the ground floor and a matching triple casement above. The right cross wing is two bays deep and has an external chimney stack dating to the 17th century. A single gabled dormer is situated in the centre of the range, likely marking the former location of a staircase on the right side of the main doorway. The interior retains exposed ceiling beams throughout.
