Description
Annables Lodge is a cottage, originally a lodge for Annables Manor. It likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations in the 18th century. The structure is timber-framed and encased in 18th-century flint and red brick. It has a plain tile roof. A cross wing was added on the east end, likely in the 18th century. The original house follows a lobby entrance plan, with single bays on each side of a central stack; the entrance was originally on the north side. The cottage is one storey high with attics. Three windows are 20th-century casements. The western part of the building features an 18th or 19th-century door and window, both with segmental heads. Inside, the stack contains a curved staircase and exposed inglenooks.
