Description

Lady Bray Farmhouse is a timber-frame farmhouse, largely dating to the later 16th century, although it may incorporate an earlier bay on the right. Around 1950, additions were made to the property. The building has exposed timber framing with painted brick infill and casing. The roof is covered in plain tiles and features three ridge chimney stacks; the one on the right is the largest and thought to be the earliest. There are five leaded casement windows. The original 16th-century section comprises two and a half bays, with the central half-bay likely containing a staircase. A small window is blocked on the first floor. The roof structure includes clasped purlins with slightly curved wind braces. The bay on the right has a lower ceiling.
