Description

Turners Hall Farm comprises a cottage range dating to the 17th century, with later alterations in the 18th and 19th centuries. The original timber frame structure was recased in the late 19th century with mauve brick, and some areas retain 18th-century chequered red brick. The roof is slate-covered, with exposed purlins to the gable ends. The long frontage facing the farm buildings features two 19th-century gables in the centre, each with wide segmental-headed casement windows. There are four similar casement windows on the ground floor. An 18th-century outshut, built in chequered brick, adjoins the right-hand end. A plank door is present on both the ground and first floors; a square-barred window is located on the right-hand side of the ground floor. A lean-to addition, built in a rat trap bond brick pattern, was added in the early to mid-19th century to the right-hand end.
