Description
Nicholls Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with recasing and extension occurring in the late 17th century. It features chequered red brick and a plain tile roof, standing two storeys high with attics and a cellar. The lower gable end is located on the north side. The garden elevation has three windows, which include camber and flat-headed casements with modern glazing, and there is one gabled attic dormer. The building has a plinth and a floor band. The gable end on the right side has a blank attic window and reveals 16th-century chamfered beams and a large inglenook fireplace inside. The north elevation is stuccoed. At the southern end, there is a single-storey outhouse from the 17th century, which has an internal end stack, and there is a rear extension from the 19th century.
