Description
Cap's Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It was recased and extended at both ends in the late 18th or early 19th century to create three cottages, but is now a single residence. The late 19th-century roughcast casing covers the structure, which has two storeys. The building features four 2-light glazing bar casements, with two located in the center and one in each hipped wing. There is a French window in the center, which was formerly a door, along with doors at both ends. The three door openings are topped with bracketed tiled hoods. The eaves are dentilled brick all around. The central roof is slightly taller and has a dark red brick chimney stack on the left, which has two joined shafts and a corbelled top.
