Description
The Queen's Head Public House is a public house that dates back to the 17th century and possibly earlier, with a recasing that occurred in the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a plain tile roof. The building has one storey and attics, with three gabled dormers. There are three glazing bar windows; the central dormer has a sash window, while the outer dormers contain casement windows. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a pair of two-light casements, and on the right, there is an extension from around 1970. At the left end of the ridge, there is a wide red brick stack that originates from the 17th century. The rear of the building has three gable-ended projections, with the center one being a narrow stair turret. The left gable end is plastered, while the right one is weatherboarded. Inside, there is a 17th-century bay on the front right, featuring a chamfered stopped beam and joists.
