Description
Westwick Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century, originally timber-framed and recased in red brick in 1794, as indicated by a dated brick. The building was extended at the rear in 1814, which is also marked by a dated brick. It features a plain tile hipped roof from the 1930s and stands two storeys tall over a cellar. The front elevation includes five 20th-century glazing bar casements and has a central projection with a broad ground floor window set in a relieving arch. To the right, there is an added porch with an early 19th-century door that has four panels and shaped brackets. Inside the projection, the beams are ovolo-moulded. The main range consists of five bays built at the same time, featuring chamfer-stopped beams. On the rear ground floor, there is a 17th-century three-light mullioned casement with original square leading and a spring catch.
