Description
This is a house, likely originally built in the 16th century, probably as a single-story structure. It was raised in height in the late 17th century, possibly around 1700. The building is timber-framed with roughcast walls, and has a steep-pitched plain tile roof with exposed purlins. There is painted brick to the ground floor of the east gable end. The front features a wooden eaves cornice with widely spaced square modillions, and has two recent sash windows. A plank door is located towards the left side. The right return has a floor band and a blocked round light. A 17th-century lateral stack is present on the rear right. There is a weatherboarded rear extension. Inside, the two left ground floor rooms have stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. The building was formerly the Two Brewers Inn.
