Description

Christy's Corner is a house and shop that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It features a timber frame with a plastered front. The right side of the building has early 20th-century red brick on the ground floor and roughcast on the jettied upper floor. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with plain tiles; the right bay was formerly a gabled cross wing. The building has two storeys. On the upper floor, there are two sash windows without glazing bars. The ground floor has a double shop front from the 19th to 20th century, with each window containing 12 panes. This building was formerly a butcher's shop.
