Description

This is an aisled barn, now used as a cowhouse, located 70 metres southeast of the farmhouse at Wallingtonbury. It likely dates from the 17th century. The structure features a timber frame that is weatherboarded, with a roof made of corrugated iron. The barn consists of six bays. Only the cambered tie beams, wall plates, jowled arcade posts, wall posts, and braces remain from the original roofing, as the rafters are no longer present. The main timbers are chamfered.
