Description
Nos 1 and 3 on Lower King Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century or early 19th century. The front is finished in colour-washed pebbledash and features a tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high and has two sash windows with glazing bars. There are two doors, each with four flush panels, set in plain surrounds and topped with cornice hoods supported by consoles. Nos 1 and 3 are part of a group that includes Nos 28 to 36 (even), the yard wall to No 36, No 36A, and the former United Reformed Church on Kneesworth Street.
