Description
No. 28 on Kneesworth Street is a 17th-century building that has been altered over time. It features a plaster-faced front and an old tiled roof, which includes a box dormer and a coved cornice. The structure has two storeys and attics, with one flush sash window on the first floor that has glazing bars. There is a bracketed doorhood at the entrance. This building is located on the site of a coachhouse that belonged to King James I and the Prince of Wales.
No. 28, along with Nos. 30 to 36 (even), the yard wall to No. 36, and No. 36A, forms a group with the former United Reformed Church and Nos. 1 and 3 Lower King Street.
