Description
This is a house located at 69 High Street, dating from the early 18th century and renovated in the early 19th century. It features painted brick in Flemish bond and has a steep old red tile roof with a hipped tiled lean-to on the west end. The house is small, with two stories and two cells, and has large external chimneys at the east gable (with one flue) and on the rear wall of the west part (with two flues).
The symmetrical north front facing the road has a plinth, a plat-band, and a dentilled corbelled eaves band. There are three windows on each floor, with gauged flat arches on the ground floor. The former central doorway has been converted into a two-light flush casement window. Above it, there is a smaller original window of a similar style, and on each side, there are three-light flush casement windows, which are deeper on the ground floor. The entrance is now located on the west face of the west outshut, which also has three windows. A plat-band crosses the east gable at the level of the eaves band.
