Description

The gates and gate piers of King George V Playing Field, located next to No 190 Park Lane in Old Knebworth, were constructed in 1938. They feature wooden gates and gate-posts, with four posts in total. The two central posts are adorned with cast iron plaques depicting a lion and a unicorn. The gates are equipped with iron hinges and latches, and include central double gates along with single side gates that have diagonal cross braces. It is noted that the left gate and post are broken.
