Description
The L-shaped barn range at Redcoats Farm, located in the northeast corner of the farmyard, dates back to the 17th century. It consists of two adjoining barns constructed with a timber frame resting on brick sills, featuring dark weatherboarding and steep-pitched roofs that have been slated. The longer barn on the north side is likely five bays wide and includes several boarded doors. The eastern barn, which has four bays, features double doors on the west side in the second bay from the south and an outshut projection in the same bay, under a catslide continuation of the roof. The structure also displays jowled posts and a mid-height rail.
