Description
The dovecote at New Wellbury Farm, dating from the 18th century, is located 10 metres southwest of the main house. It is constructed of red brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, featuring blue headers. The west gable displays exposed timbers, while the east gable has a projecting boarded entrance for the dovecote. The building has a half-hipped steep roof covered with old red tiles. It is a single-storey rectangular structure that faces south, with a central boarded door and a 2-light fanlight above it. On the north side, there is a small 2-light window located centrally under the eaves. The dovecote includes four rows of round-headed openings with a shelf at the bottom and has a chamfered plinth.
