Description

The Compasses is a former public house located on Biggleswade Road. The building features a west block that dates from the 17th century or earlier and an east wing from the 18th century. The west block has a thatched roof and is finished with colour-washed plaster, while the east wing has an old tiled roof. The windows are flush casement style with glazing bars. The east wing is two storeys tall, while the west block is single storey with attics. Inside, the building retains its original chimney bressumer.
