Description

This is a 17th-century brick house, located on Church Street. It is arranged in an L-shape, with an altered wing facing the street. The house has two storeys and a steeply pitched tiled roof. The front elevation originally had three windows; the ground floor windows are modern, while the first floor features three triple-light casement windows with leaded glass. A corbelled brick cornice runs along the top of the front elevation. The front door is topped by an oblong fanlight and a half-domed hood supported by console brackets. The rear wing is taller and less altered, featuring two casement windows with mullions and a transom. It forms a group with the Church of Saint Mary, Churchyard Hall of Saint Mary’s, and numbers 1 to 13 (odd) on Church Street.
