Description

Jasmine Cottage is likely a 16th-century house, with later modifications including flooring and heating in the 17th century and alterations in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with whitewashed brick nogging and casing, and has a tiled roof. Originally a two-bay hall house, it is one storey high with an attic. It features scattered leaded light casement windows. The front gable faces the road. The left return side shows exposed timbers and a lean-to outshut, while the right return features exposed timber framing. A cross-axial ridge stack has an oversailing cap. The entrance is at the rear left, leading to a 19th-century whitewashed brick outbuilding. The rear of the building has similar casements, a steeply pitched roof with a single gabled dormer, and a stack. The interior has not been inspected.
