Description
Salisbury House is a mid-18th century building that has been extended in the 19th century and altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with some burnt headers and features a tiled roof. The house has a double-pile plan and consists of two storeys with an original five-bay front. The central entrance includes a six-panelled door, a semi-circular decorative fanlight, and a bracketed moulded hood. To the right of the entrance is a prominent full-height 19th-century semi-octagonal bay with five ground floor casement windows. The first floor and all other windows are sashes with single glazing bars, featuring rubbed brick heads and two plat bands. The building has a stone-coped parapet and a plinth with a blocked basement to the right. There are four extruded end stacks with oversailing courses and a double ridge. A two-storey lean-to extension is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. Flanking blocks built in 1975 are linked only by a glazed pergola to the rear and are not included in the listing.
