Description
Farm buildings at Acremans, dating from the late 17th century, form an L-shaped range that is thatched and timber-framed, located on the roadside. The barn has a T-plan, with the longer section oriented north-south and a projection to the west. Lower stables extend to the east along the roadside and at the south end. The stables feature a lower hipped roof that covers a passage and possibly a well enclosure to the south. The buildings have a red brick base in English bond, with plastered walls and a weatherboarded apron. The barn includes ventilation holes under the eaves that are closed by battens, and it has a windvane shaped like a stork. The steep thatched roofs are half-hipped at the ends, and all doors open to a yard on the southeast.
