Description
Hertford Regional College is a house from the 18th century that is now part of the college campus. It features plaster fronts, a cornice with modillions, and an old tiled roof, along with two truncated yellow-grey brick chimneys. The building has three storeys and includes four flush sash windows with glazing bars. There are two doorways topped with pedimented hoods supported by consoles. In 1906, the house was incorporated into Ware Girls Grammar School, and a classroom block was added to the east, which is not of special interest. At the back, there is a two-storey plastered range with an old tiled roof, contributing to a double-pile plan. The building is associated with Amwell House on Hertford Road and is included for its group value.
