Description

The forge at Church Farm, located opposite the junction and the Jolly Waggoner public house, is a building from the 18th century or early 19th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and has a hipped red pantile roof. This small, single-storey, rectangular structure faces north towards the roadside. A chimney pot is positioned centrally on the western part of the building. The front includes a wide shuttered window opening in the middle and double doors next to the eastern corner. There is also a small three-light fixed window on the western end. Inside, there is a brick hearth and a free-standing chimney. This traditional building is a picturesque feature at the road junction in the village center and is included for its group value.
