Description
The bridge carrying the drive over the River Beane at Woodhall Park was built around 1780, likely as part of W. Malcolm's landscaping for Sir T. Rumbold. It is constructed of yellow stock brick, with some repairs in 19th-century red brick, and features stone dressings. The bridge has a single large segmental arch with keystones and recessed voussoirs on the southeast side. The parapets are supported by six piers and include recessed panels with central open sections that have iron railings. The stone coping has pyramidal caps on the piers, and there are inner plinths along the structure. The ends of the abutments are curved.
