Description

This is an early 18th-century, three-story house with two windows, originally plastered. It has a steep, old tile roof that is hipped and bellcast, along with a large lateral stack at the rear. In the early 19th century, a two-story, slate-roofed lean-to extension was added to the rear, featuring sash windows. The front facade is asymmetrical, with a door and narrower windows on the right side. The windows are flush, boxed sashes, containing either 4/8, 3/6 panes, a 16-pane fixed light, or a 6/6 pane arrangement. There are two stone steps leading up to a five-panel door, with an elongated top panel glazed. The door is surrounded by wooden molding with a flat hood, molded bases to tapered pilasters, flattened consoles, and a full entablature where the frieze projects forward over the consoles. A small shop front, complete with brackets, fascia, and a green glazed brick surround, is also present. The building occupies a prominent location at a junction.
