Description
Lime Tree Farm is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed with a timber frame and roughcast finish on a stucco plinth. It features a steep old red tile roof and is a compact, two-storey square building facing west. There is a north crosswing and parallel-roofed ranges extending to the south. The main entrance is centrally located on the west side, next to a large central chimney. An external chimney with a tiled oven projection is situated on the east side. The south wall was rebuilt in the 19th century using stuccoed red brick, which includes a floor band and segmental arches above two recessed sash windows with three-over-three panes and a side door. The symmetrical west front has two windows on each floor and a central door. The windows are flush box sash types with moulded surrounds and eight-over-eight panes. The central door is a four-panel flush beaded type, also in a moulded surround, and there is an outline of a former gabled porch. The roof structure features side purlins.
