Description

The pump at Chalk Cottage, located 4 metres north of the door, dates from the 18th or 19th century. It features an iron mechanism mounted on the west side of paired wooden uprights. The pump has a cast iron barrel and a long S-shaped wrought iron handle with a counterweight terminal. This pump is of social and technical interest.
