Description

Kemps Cottage is a house dating from around 1640. It features a timber frame set on a brick sill, with roughcast walls and a steep thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has a three-cell layout with an internal chimney and a lobby-entry plan, facing east. The east front includes three windows and a gabled dormer at the eaves, with two- and three-light casements. There is a battened door located opposite the chimney and a third door from the south, with thatch extending down over the porch. The internal chimney on the north gable is a later addition.
