Description
No 69 on High Street is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It features a timber frame set on a low stucco sill, with a roughcast exterior and a steep old red tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical façade with two windows on each floor, facing east. The first floor has three-light flush casement windows from the 19th century, while the ground floor has larger moulded three-light casements, each topped with a moulded cornice. The central doorway is framed by a simple moulded doorcase and features a six-panel raised and fielded door with a small hood above. Ornamental wrought iron pendants are attached to the sills of the first-floor windows. At the rear, there is an original outshut that has been raised to form a two-storey monopitch wing, along with both large and small chimneys.
