Description
Highfields Lodge is a small country house located in grounds, dating from 1856. Originally named Ross Villa, this is indicated by a date plaque on the front elevation. The building is constructed of yellow brick with a Welsh slate roof and a hipped roof featuring an eaves cornice. It has two storeys and attics. There are six sash windows with glazing bars; the first-floor window reveals have flat arches, while the ground-floor windows are flush set within moulded frames. A one-storey bay casement window is also present. A stucco Doric porch with pilasters, frieze, cornice, and a blocking course fronts the building, sheltering a four-panel door.
