Description

Tednambury is an 18th-century house remodelled in the early 19th century. It is a double-depth house with two storeys, featuring a timber frame and plaster rendering on its south-facing front, and a secondary front to the east. The roof is hipped and covered in slate, with a wide plaster eaves soffit. The south front has three windows, each with flush sash windows, moulded architraves, and 8/8 panes. There is decorative pargetting in large panels. A four-panel door is positioned centrally and is sheltered by an open verandah supported by tapered wooden pillars and a hipped slate roof. The east front is also plastered and has three windows with simpler architraves, along with a central door under a small gabled porch supported by shaped brackets. The door is an early 19th-century half-glazed design. A lower, one-and-a-half storey extension is located on the west side. The house occupies an elevated and prominent position on a high spur.
