Description

Markells is a cottage, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier. It is a single-story building with an attic, and features a half-hipped thatched roof with two flat dormers. The construction is timber-framed and plastered. The cottage has a three-range configuration with two-paned casement windows. A red plain-tiled gable porch with a vertical plank door is situated to the right of centre. Red brick chimney stacks are positioned off-centre and to the left of the building.
