Description
Down Hall Farmhouse is a 17th-century building located in Brent Pelham. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a tiled roof, standing two storeys high with attics. The farmhouse has gabled cross wings on both the north and south sides, along with a gable on the main block. The upper storey and attic windows are fitted with old leaded casements, while the ground floor has wooden casements with glazing bars. A central 19th-century enclosed gabled porch is present, and there is a central chimney stack with rebuilt square shafts set diagonally. Additionally, the remains of a moat can be found on the property.
