Description

The farmhouse at Labden's Farm is a building from the 17th century or earlier, with the ground floor faced in 18th-century brick. The south end wall was rebuilt in brick during the 19th century. The upper part of the structure is timber-framed and roughcast above the red brick ground floor, and the rear is weatherboarded. It features a hipped old red tile roof and has two storeys plus attics, facing east. The layout is a three-unit central-chimney plan, designed as a lobby-entry house, with a later chimney added at the south end.

The front of the farmhouse has two gabled dormers with casement windows, and on the upper floor, there are two three-light casement windows in flush frames. The ground floor has three similar windows with segmental arches. There is an enclosed gabled brick porch that includes a six-panel door, with bolection mouldings on the top four panels and a moulded frame. At the rear, there is an outshut under a catslide roof featuring three-light casements and a six-panel door aligned with the front door. The brick south end has a door with a recessed sash window above it, which has three-over-three panes.
