Description

The barn at the rear of Nos. 15/17 High Street in Kings Langley is an early 17th-century structure that has been converted into a workshop. Originally larger, it was reduced to a single bay when No. 13 was built to the north in the 17th century. The barn features a timber frame with brick nogging and is topped with a steep old red tile roof. This picturesque, single-storey square building faces west and is located at the back of a yard. Notable architectural details include stepped jowled posts, straight braces supporting the tie-beams, and a clasped-purlin roof with straight wind braces.
