Description
98 and 100 High Street are early 19th century buildings featuring a stucco front and a Welsh slated roof with paired bracketed panelled eaves. The structures rise to three storeys and include two sash windows with glazing bars set in reveals. The ground floor has shop windows, one modern and one original with glazing bars, and a continuous frieze and cornice above slim Doric pilasters. The upper floors display a dummy central window and a sill band at the second floor level. Tall Greek Ionic angle pilasters support the architraves, accompanied by a continuous frieze. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 48 to 88 (even), Nos 94 to 100 (even), and a barn in the garden of Nos 62 and 64.
