Description
No. 68 on High Street is a 18th-century building featuring a front made of colour-washed brick and plaster, topped with an old tiled roof that has two gabled dormers. The main structure is timber framed, with the timbers exposed on the interior. The building has two storeys and attics. The ground floor has a central doorway flanked by two bay windows with glazing bars, all covered by a continuous flat roof. The first floor showcases three plaster rusticated Doric pilasters and two flush sash windows with glazing bars, which are set beneath ornamental raised plaster labels. There is a plain frieze and cornice above. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 48 to 88 (even), Nos 94 to 100 (even), and a barn in the garden of Nos 62 and 64.
