Description
This is a house located at 14 Akeman Street, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of plum brick, with the front painted and a slate roof. The building is two storeys high, with the left half of the ground floor featuring a wide carriageway leading to the rear. There are two upper windows and one ground floor window at the front, with a doorway at the right-hand corner that is now blocked. The windows have cambered arches, and the recessed windows on the first floor are smaller. The ground floor has a two-light Yorkshire sliding casement window with small panes, while the similar windows on the first floor have been replaced by louvres. The carriageway features a wide segmental arch. This building is included for its group value.
