Description
Northchurch Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a private house. It dates from the late 17th century and features a timber frame that is cased in plum brick, with steep old red tile roofs. The rear extensions, which were added in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, are constructed of browner brick. The building is a long, low, two-storey structure facing west, with an old entrance located in front of a large central chimney. The taller extensions at the rear are now accessed from the eastern end. The ground floor has flat gauged red brick arches and the house has six windows across its front, which are fitted with recessed casement windows.
