Description
The White House is a house from the early to mid-19th century, built in a nautical style. It features a stucco exterior and a hipped slate roof. This large, two-storey building is symmetrical and faces the common. Notable architectural elements include corner pilasters, wide plastered eaves soffits, and two wide rectangular bay windows that are also two storeys high, each with twin 2/2 sash windows. The bay windows have corner and central pilasters, and they are topped with separate tall hipped roofs that have cast iron finials. The central porch is half-octagonal and projects further out, featuring central half-glazed doors, sash windows, and boarded aprons on the upper part, all beneath a steep pyramidal roof with a finial.
