Description

This is a former tack room, with accommodation above, situated beside the carriageway leading to the yard of the Sebright Arms Inn, now separate commercial premises. The building dates from the late 18th or early 19th century and is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. The north wall of the carriageway features timber studs filled with painted brickwork. The building is low, three stories high, and two windows wide, facing east. It has a central door, a shopfront on the right-hand side, and a wide carriageway on the left. It contains flush-box sash windows with 6/6 panes, and flat-gauged arches above the first-floor windows. A rectangular fanlight is above the front door. The shopfront includes a recessed bow window with small panes of glass. The building is included on the list for group value.
