Description
The Bricklayers Arms Public House is a public house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of uncoursed knapped flint with red brick dressings and flush quoins. The building features an old tiled gambrel roof with three box dormers. It has one storey and attics, with four casement windows; two on the right have glazing bars in reveals under a cambered arch, while two on the left are flush. There is a later 19th-century two-storey addition on the left side, which has a sash window with 2/2 panes and a pebbledash front. The left-hand gable is finished in chequered red and black brick with a Welsh slated roof, and there is a single-storey tiled brick stable and trap house set back. Inside, there is a pine panelled high dado, a wide fireplace with a surround and mantle shelf, and a timber framed interior partition.
