Description

The stable and coachhouse adjoining in the rear yard at No. 30 is an early to mid-18th century stable, with the coachhouse dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick with painted stone dressings and features steep old red tile roofs. The stable block is two storeys high and located in the southwest corner of a cobbled yard, facing east, while the lower coachhouse obscures the southern part of its facade. The stable has a three-centred arched doorway with a raised surround, impost blocks, and a keystone. The low upper storey of the stable contains the ostler's quarters. This building is included for its group value.
