Description

No. 12 Watling Street is a building from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tile roof that is hipped at the southeast end. The building has two storeys and cellars, with a four-window range that includes double hung vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars. There is a plaster carved eaves cornice, and the doorway is adorned with a moulded cornice and a six-panel door. At the north end, there is a 19th-century shopfront that includes a moulded canopy.
