Nos. 5 and 9 Watling Street is an early 18th century house that is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring a five-window range with double hung vertical sliding sashes that include glazing bars. Number 9 retains its original six-panel door and has two hipped dormers.
