Description
Manor Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with an 18th-century extension on the right and a 20th-century wing at the rear. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with red plain tiled roofs, featuring a lower level on the right and three gabled dormers. It has one storey and attics, with a three-window range of 20th-century leaded casements. There is an off-centre porch made of red tiles and weatherboarding, which includes a 20th-century window and door on the right side. The cottage has two red brick chimney stacks and was mentioned as a Baymakers house in "Essex Countryside" in October 1982 by J. Gibson.
