Description
Ingrams Close is a house built around 1800 by John Johnson, featuring attached 16th-century T-plan buildings on the right. The 16th-century buildings are mainly single storey, timber framed, and plastered, topped with red plain tiled roofs and various windows and doors. The main house is three storeys high, constructed of red brick with a hipped grey slate roof. The central section of the house projects forward and has a 1:3:1 arrangement of small paned sash windows on the upper floors and large paned sash windows on the ground floor, all featuring gauged brick arches. There is a central four-panelled door with a semi-circular five-paned light above it. The house has a central parapet adorned with a dentilled cornice and three red brick chimney stacks. Inside, there are good original details.
